About Zehner Consulting

Morgan Zehner founded Zehner Consulting in June of 2008 in order to bring his unique perspective on commercial district management and community organizations to a broader public. Morgan strives to assist civic leaders to best understand and manage their community’s place in the economy, ability to build real estate and business equity, and facilitate generational attrition in leadership and entrepreneurial positions.

Morgan’s previous work includes staff and executive roles at urban Main Street organizations and city-wide agencies dedicated to affordable housing and improving household finances in Washington, DC. As a result of Morgan’s substantial contribution as a Director at Barracks Row Main Street in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington, the commercial corridor was awarded a Great American Main Street designation by the National Main Street Center of The National Trust for Historic Preservation. Morgan’s most recent position in Washington was as the Executive Director of Historic Dupont Circle Main Streets. Dupont Circle is one of Washington’s premier business districts and possesses international name recognition.

Morgan regularly speaks and writes on community and small business branding, management and competitiveness, and has been invited to speak at the National Main Street Conference. Morgan graduated from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec with degrees in urban geography and economics. He currently resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota where he is earning a Master of Business Administration from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and serves as the Treasurer of the Powderhorn Park Neighborhood Association.
